2012: A Recap

I canNOT believe 2012 is coming to an end in a few short hours. This has been one of the best years of my life. It has stretched me, challenged me, grown me, and taught me so many incredible lessons. Not to mention, I have met some of the most amazing people this past year.

Here are a few highlights from the past year:

The Anderson Cooper show called me at the beginning of January in regards to a post I had written in December of 2011. While they didn't end up using me, I was so flattered that they reached out to me.

I attended Blissdom in Nashville, TN in February. It was such a fun experience and my friend Kate and I got to have lots of blogging, business, and life chats.

In March, I jumped on a plane to NYC for a conference hosted by the Martha Stewart headquarters. I got to meet some incredible women as well as attend a taping of the show. The producers picked me to ask Martha and her guest a question.

In April, I headed off to Snap where I got to hang out with some of my favorite blogging friends!

My very best friend had a baby and I became an "aunt"!

My good friends Kate, Lauren, and I hosted a blogger meet-up in the area. It was so fun meeting other local bloggers!

My big sister scored some amazing front row tickets for a Lady Antebellum concert over the summer. 

I went on a road trip with Lauren and Kate to the Becoming Conference in Asheville  to hear Kate speak.

In October, I headed off to Indiana for the Influence Conference. The whole conference was such a blessing to my heart. 

I ran the color run with some of my friends, which was a huge blast!

In December, my sales were out of out of control. I ended up being the number #1 shop for a few days on bigcartel. I was so grateful by all the amazing customers. I had some serious issues with the post office, and I was overwhelmed by all the grace they offered me while I worked out getting replacements out.

5 Things to be Happy About

1. I'm finally back! I took a somewhat unexpected and unplanned hiatus from the internet. I ended up with more orders than I thought so I spent a great deal of time working on those as well as preparing for the holidays. It was actually surprisingly nice to have a little breather from so much social media, but I'm happy to be back to blogging, etc.

2. I love being able to spend time with local bloggers and meet new people. I attended a blog meet-up/holiday party a few weeks back which was so great! I also found the Christmas tree of my dreams there!

3. I had a very pink and green Christmas. I always laugh at just how well my friends and family know me.

4. I found some super sparkly shoes at Old Navy this week. And they were only $5 after discounts! I plan to wear them as often as I possibly can.

5. I'm really looking forward to the New Year and all that 2013 will bring!
