1000 Voices

An old Native American saying is, "it takes a thousand voices to tell a single story." This philosophy is one of the heartbeats behind The Girl Effect. Awhile ago, I stumbled across the Girl Effect on twitter. I went to their website and spent hours just pouring over the information. I couldn't stop thinking about their movement, their philosophies, and their heartbeat to make this world a better place, one girl at a time.

The girl effect is about spreading the word about girls living in poverty and the devastating results of that. It's about using our voices to make a difference. It's about believing that girls, in fact, can change the world when given a fair chance. Watch the video is better understand the situation at hand.

I've been working on a little project (which I'll be announcing soon) in my shop, in order to help donate money to causes such as this, which remind us the importance of believing that girls in fact can and will change the world.
